So a quick update from SouthernXC towers as Steve Jones and his team have been doing a fantastic job of setting up the New Forest course , AM Cycling payed him a quick visit last week and its looking fab.

We have Confirmed caterers for the new forest round and have secured the team from The Charming Belle who will be serving lots of fab food to all you hungry riders and spectators.

Update from Clanfield – Solent Pirates are offering 20 places to Female riders who have entered round 4 with a free coaching session on the Saturday of race weekend spaces are limited so get booked on here

April 2024

RACE COMPLETE : So after 12 hours of rain that battered the Basingstoke course we made some quick changes and got racing underway , mega muddy and proper wet racing was on the cards for Folly Farm this year , You all arrived smiled and cracked on with it showing grit and determination, Prep work for round 3 is well underway …… See you all in The New Forest – See here for results https://my.raceresult.com/284348/

The news at the moment is that AM Cycling have been working hard prepairing Folly Farm into the fantastic race venue that we all love and know we have 2 weeks to go until race day so get booking as online entery closes on Wendesday the 24th of April, also news from Steve Jones that lots of work has been done allready at Crow in preparation for round 3 .

Online entry has now closed and we have some entry on the day places available , these are on a first come first served basis.

Number Boards have arrived and teams are ready for Winchester on the 31st of March , Entry’s close at Midnight on Wednesday the 27th of March for Round 1 , We may have some on the day entry’s but are on a first served basis so to secure your place please book online.

Additional events to consider , TrialX and Xterra MTB weekend on the 6th and 7th of July @ Pippingford Park in Sussex are open for entry , These are taking place over the weekend and have challenges from 20k all the way up to a staggering 60k super marathon , also not forgetting the E-Bike Challenge head over to the Eventrex website for more info.

Hot off the press : Steve Jones announces that he is returning to event organizing and has taken on our round in the New Forest.

Confirmed catering team Nick from Bean & Gone will be with us serving Coffee and will have a small selection of cakes.

All races are now open to book on British Cycling see this page for links and lets go racing.

Confirmed catering team The Chippy Waggon and The Waffle Wagon will look after you all serving hot food at our races.

A very busy team this month as SouthernXC online goes live , the legacy website is now offline and we also released dates and venues for this season.

Vittoria have confirmed that they would like to continue supporting the series as our headline sponsor.

We also welcomed news from Sprockets Cycle club who are promising all of our under 12 riders with a medal at every race this season.

Late 2023 (New Beginnings)

With the departure of Morgan and Jaymi from running SouthernXC multiple meetings were held between James Watson ( AM Cycling ) and Adam Buckland ( Eventrex ) on how the series could continue in a sustainable manor, so a plan was created where the individual rounds would be set up and ran by individual race teams in the Southern region and overseen by Eventrex and AMCycling.
